I didn't go. Didn't want to. The wife and one son went and came back gushing about the show. Lots of fecking about between songs apparently as seems to be the norm these days. Dropping em off at the station I wished I had have gone but only cos it's a night out rather than it being Green Day. Felt no such qualms when I picked em back up (at feckin midnight). Once sat down at home I started wondering why I didn't go to this show after all I like a lot of Green Day and got into em quite early too. I was touring the States in 92 when I picked up on the Kerplunk second album which I listened to a lot and then bought 'smoothed out' the first one which I also quite liked.

Like most I was blown away by Dookie (Also Offsprings SMASH did it for me the year before) and the Basket Case video shown over again on MTV parodying my favourite film. So there I was wondering-a-way and then I remembered, or I thought I did, the reason for my ambivalence lol. So over to yous. Did 'The Day' cancel the British leg of the Dookie tour? They definitely cancelled a whole European tour at some stage cos I had a ticket and had been gagging to see them. Was it the Dookie tour or the one after? I clearly remember the reason given - they were tired. I found this laughable and thought feck them and promptly lost all my previous interest. This seems to have lingered all this time lol. So there ypu go. I've missed out on 'The Day' and have no intention of putting this right, As the midnight train pulled in there were a plethora of teens getting off. I smiled and looked forward to Motorhead etc at the end of the month. In my autumn years I have to admit I more miss Robin Day than Green Day :D
