I had no idea at the time that this would be my one and only chance to see them. They had played Bristol before, but i was too young, broke and clueless to know that.
I'm pretty sure the next gig i went to was The Damned... who were more than a little drunk (especially Algy Ward) and pissed about too much. I remember Dave Vanian singing Plan 9 Channel 7 really badly.
I found out recently from conversations with Bobby Steele that The Misfits would have been the other support band at this gig... YEE GODS what a treat that would have been!!
