I don't remember this being on the television, but I picked up the series for £1.99 second hand as a time killer.
Turns it it has been touted about as one of the worst television series screened in recent years.
It's about a team of archaeologists and was described as Indiana Jones meets CSI.
Each episode revolves around a dig and it's links to the past with a search for excalibur acting as a thread.
So far we have had the Knights Templar and crucifixes transported from the Holy Land, a slave ship with links to Moorish warriors and a current US state senator and a story about Boadicea.
The main complaints were that the acting was wooden, the scripts were confusing and clunky and it was historical incorrect.
Well all I can say is that yes the acting is wooden and the dialogue leaves a bit to be desired, but if anyone finds the stories confusing then they might consider not falling asleep in the middle of an episode as it aint that complicated. As for historical accuracy. It's a bloody tv show. Not a documentary.
Alanna and myself have been watching it today and it's more entertaining that 90% of the crap on the television on a saturday night.
Three more episodes to go and then we will probably be left high and dry as there wasn't a second series commissioned .
Anyone else seen it?
